Work Placement

You must complete at least 120 hours of work placement in a healthcare or acute care setting.

Option 1: My Flex Training Organised Placement

We work with hospitals and facilities across Perth Metro, Mandurah, and Bunbury to arrange placements for our students. Full-time or approved part-time placements are available.

Option 2: Self-Organised Placement

Students may arrange their own placement. Required documents must be uploaded to the LMS.

Entry Requirements - Australia

Minimum Age:

You must be 18 years or older at the time of starting the course.

Language & Literacy:

There are no formal educational prerequisites, but you must:

  • Understand spoken and written English
  • Complete an LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) assessment prior to enrolment
  • Be physically capable of assisting individuals with mobility and daily activities

Mandatory Documentation:

Before beginning placement, you are required to submit:

  • WA Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • National Police Clearance (within the last 6 months)
  • Flu vaccination record (current)
  • Unique Student Identifier (USI)
